Great to see Mardi Gras rolling along in the Crescent City. I know some people thought it innappropriate but revelry is the true spirit of New Orleans and I am glad to see some of the magic return.

I agree. The city SHOULD be celebrating. It is part of what makes it one of the most magical cities in the world, and is the site of the most famous Mardi Gras celebration the world over (not to be confused with Carnaval in Rio, although they are celebrating the same thing!). They deserve to be reunified and shake off what was one of the most devastating disasters in this countries history.
And, not to be pedantic, as the spirit was well-intended, if spelled improperly–Laissez le bon temps roulez!!!
