Hillary gives “great face” as they say. I am glad a leading Presidential candidate is at least saying these words (UPDATE: even if somewhat in secret):
“We’re going to reach out and work with our allies in Congress both to change laws and change hearts. We want to make sure that all Americans in committed relationships have equal benefits from health insurance and life insurance and Social Security and property rights and more. These are fundamental rights,” she said.
In the same speech she also said that as President she would end the military’s policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. If she is sincere, why wait until then? She should expend some of her immense political capital and help Congressman Meehan pass his bill and send it on to President Bush now. Until then… color me skeptical. Just the same ‘ole, same ‘ole.

Just a thought.
If shes trying to change certain laws, so that everyone can have equal rights, she musy be referring to laws that shouldnt be there in the first place. The answer is to repeal laws, not make more. There are too many.
I see people as having the freedoms they want naturally. The only reason we ‘seem’ not to have certain rights is because we are constantly prohibiting this or that action.
She claims that “equal benefits from health insurance and life insurance and Social Security and property rights,” are fundamental rights. Exactly! And her job is to respect and protect them. Not provide these services of enforce that everyone have them.
These are primarily the business of the people receiving the service. Our choice. Not hers.
And there is one conservative out there. Ron Paul. And he is hopefully running. He cant do it without the peoples help. Its one of the many nonviolent ways to help make a turn for the better.
Andrew Sullivan-“Small government, individual freedom, low taxes, strong defense: these are values shared by many gay Americans.”
I found that particularly interesting.

Unforutunately, it would be problematic for Mrs Clinton to ammend the constitution to suit homosexuals. This is merely a ploy to get the gay to vote for her.

Hillary is a political whore. She will do and say anything to get a vote. If she wins, she will try to put forward her communistic socialistic programs for everyone except her elite circle. She would be the worst President we ever had and ruin the chances of a woman being elected ever again.

OK, did anyone in the leadership of HRC get off their knees long enough to ask the most obvious question: “Why should we trust anything anyone with the surname Clinton says on the campaign trail about gays in the military?” Some might say it’s an unfair question to ask, but Senator Clinton doesn’t get to tote Bill around Selma like a fashionista with the latest ‘it’ bag, basking in the reflected glory of his administration, then dodge the hard question about how the Clinton Administration threw gays and lesbians overboard whenever it was poltically convenient.
