I would agree with Andrew Sullivan that:
“America’s current moment requires something other than more polarization and fearful pragmatism.”
However, I am not as sure that Obama is the person who can deliver. Yes, America needs hope but it also needs someone who has experience dealing with the dog-eat-dog world that US politics has become. A change in Commander in Chief is not going to miraculously overhaul the system at large.
Maybe he is on to something. Everyone seems to not be happy with any of the choices. Maybe this year we need to elect the candidate we all hate the most to bring us together?
