Repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Now

1 03 2007

Now is the time for the Democratic Party to step up or forever loose their ability to call on GLBT support.  There is a Democratic majority in both houses and they should immediately address and pass the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

The Human Rights Campaign has used millions of GLBT dollars to bet on just this moment… that a Democratic majority would be the champions of GLBT rights.  If this congress does not pass the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” Democrats should not receive another GLBT dime and neither should the Human Rights Campaign.  In fact, they owe a lot of people apologies.

UPDATE:  Chris Crain reports that the Bay Area Reporter is also calling the Human Rights Campaign to task for their non-focus on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

UP-UPDATE: GayPatriot welcomes others to the party.

Gay Cruise Lines To Visit Gay Bashing Island

26 04 2006

Why are RSVP and Atlantis supporting the homophobic island of St. Martin/St. Maarten? Contact RSVP Vacations and Atlantis Events, Inc. and let them know it is reprehensible for gay companies to be supporting destinations whose media still refer to GLBT persons as "faggots" and "homos."

I guess it could be an educational tour… "Now over here you have the spot where a fellow gay man's head was caved in with a tire iron."

Jamaica - The Most Homophobic Place on Earth

21 04 2006

At least now it's official. I've said it before — Boycott Jamaica.

Defend Freedom

Support democracy on the web. Keep the internet a place where all are treated equally.

Cross Off St. Maarten

21 04 2006

Not only does it appear that gay folk aren't particularly welcome on the island by some of its inhabitants, but the local newspaper misses the good old days when you could bash a queer for sport and nobody batted an eyelash.

AMERICAblog has the goods and a call to action.

Boycott Jamaica

6 04 2006

And I rooted for their bobsled team. Cross Jamaica off the list.

The United States, Canada and Great Brittain import more than 50% of Jamaican goods.  Any reduction in purchases in these countries would have a major impact on the economics of Jamaica.

No more Jamaican: Papaya, bananas, sugar, coffee or rum.

Federal Marriage Amendment Back on Table

8 02 2006

The federal marriage amendment, which would write discrimination into the very document that is a beacon for freedom the world over, is back on the table according to the ultra-conservative American Family Association. At least the AFA has the guts to call it what it is: “homosexual marriage ban.” No rhetorical misdirection for these folks. No “defending protecting saving marriage”. No soft pedal here, just straight to the point of letting gay people know their relationships aren’t as valid as say… Britney Spears’.

Gay is OK!

6 02 2006

The thumper's have designated April 27 as the "Day of Truth" on which to spread their lies against gay persons. Counterattack with "Gay is OK" and show support.
